A PRAYER TO OUR LADY

O, Ina ng Pilipinas, Akayin Mo Kami Kay Jesus!

O Mary, our Mother and Queen, the whole Church celebrates time and again a year dedicated to the Eucharist. During this period we recall how the Lord Jesus humbled himself to become our spiritual food and drink.We also commemorate that memorable occasion – 150 years ago – when the Church promulgated the belief that God, in choosing you to be His Mother, preserved you from original sin. Thus you are rightly to be called “Immaculate Conception”.Teach us, O Virgin full of grace, how to embrace a life of holiness so that, freed from sin and filled with thanksgiving, we may worthily receive Christ’s Body and Blood every time we participate at Mass.Pray, O most worthy tabernacle of Jesus, that having received our Savior in Holy Communion we may be transformed as His faithful and courageous witnesses bearing His message to a world which is in dire need of salvation and freedom.Be with us, O Immaculate Patroness of the Philippines and of the Archdiocese of Manila, in these two festivities that we may walk in the true path towards the reward of the Eucharist – eternal life with your Son and our Brother, Jesus Christ. Amen.
